Home / Toxolasma pullus

This species is not native to North Carolina but is now established in Falls Lake (Neuse River Basin).  It was likely introduced through a bait-bucket release of a fish with attached glochidia.  This lure is similar to the lure of Toxolasma pullus, which is native to the southern Atlantic Slope.
