Our environmental education efforts include classroom presentations, workshops, lectures for educators, and laboratory sessions for kids. We work with several key partners in support of these activites:
The NC State Museum of Natural Sciences
Wake County Environmental Services
NC Wildlife Resources Commission
Two posters and an activity book that we have developed for classroom use in 4-8 grade classrooms and for home school activities are available for educators. These materials can be purchased by sending a note to Chris Eads (Chris_Eads@ncsu.edu). The activity book can be reproduced as needed to create additional classroom copies. A coloring book for younger elementary school children will be available for downloading after the New Year.
Access our Educator Resource page for specific suggestions to support environmental education in you school or community.
